Welcome 2017! I am looking forward to this New Year and all the fun and outlandish events we have been booked for. I hope that all my wonderful readers and followers had a wonderful break and are ready to take this year by the horns – I sure am!

As for my blog posts, I am still behind with this awesome Vintage Train 5th Birthday Party which Outlandish Events styled last year. This party has months of planning invested in it. My beautiful client, is as focused on details as I am. We were on the same page right from the start. Michel and her husband were such wonderful and friendly clients – not to mention so generous. We all understood each other very well and thus the party was a successful execution and better what they had envisioned.

Reevash, the birthday boy is a huge fan of Thomas the Train thus our theme was built around Thomas. We took a different angle at the theme and created a vintage old school train party. The cake though, had to be a Thomas cake – a special request from the birthday boy himself!

Vintage Train 5th Birthday Party Decor Set Up:

Our Decor included big old crates, TNT trunks, old school lanterns, vintage luggage. Basically we used things you would find at a train station or on a train. An old luggage trolley and a lamp-post were some of the items we used to create a vintage atmosphere. Our color scheme were red and blue. We had various centerpieces for the different tables all tying to the vintage travel theme as well..

For the kids table, we used hay bales for seating. All the paper plates, paper cups, serviettes and water bottles were personalized to say “Happy 5th Birthday Reevash”. Outlandish Events designed all the party stationery and backdrop.

Guests were served mocktails in light bulbs as well as delicious canapes upon arrival.. They were welcomed by a stilt walker juggling away! The main meal included mutton breyani, butter chicken, vegetable briyani and roti. Guests were treated to a box of mouth-watering macarons for party favors. The kids all received a story book!

For entertainment, we had a magician who did wonderful tricks to get the kids in stitches. A face painter and jumping castle kept the little busy bodies happy!

Client Review for this Vintage Train 5th Birthday Party:

Dearest Ishrat, I’ve been trying to find the perfect words to properly convey how completely bowled over we are over Reevash’s party. Clearly I’m still searching lol. Thank you so incredibly much for a job beyond the point of well done…it was all stunning! Our guests couldn’t get over the decor, food, venue and general atmosphere of the day. You’re such a star, throughout this planning process you have been phenomenal, friendly and truly efficient no matter how many times I called you and nagged you. I cannot wait to work with you again on another event for us.
Take care and God bless : )” ~ Michel
