A Royal Princess High Tea came my way and obviously how can I ever say no to such an elegant theme! We were at a time crunch planning this function but as always Outlandish Events and the team did an excellent job at flawlessly executing this event – although we had two other functions to set up on that weekend, the team outdid themselves by successfully executing three major functions in one weekend.

This Royal Princess High Tea was nothing short of a WOW event. The colour scheme were soft pink and gold. This is quite the “in-theme” for 2016 for first birthdays – I can totally understand why! Speaking from experience, a daughter will always be a Princess – no matter how old she ever gets! I can also say the same for my son who is my Prince Charming… Well I suppose that makes my family “The Royals” as hubby is my handsome King and well… Err… Naturally that makes me Queen! I suppose every family has their own King, Queen, Prince and Princess… and love to play castle but mine is my favourite! Lol, humour aside, here’s the details of this beautifully styled Royal Princess High Tea.

The décor was outstanding consisting of beautiful backdrop made of different shades of pink ribbon and pom poms which were placed over the food table. For our dessert table we had a birthday banner printed which served as the backdrop for that table as well. Beautiful table skirts and draping adorned both the food and dessert tables.

All stationery were designed by Outlandish Events and the tables would have been incompletely without them!

The kids table set up were too cute! Kid’s white tiffany chairs and tutu were the order of the day. The kids were definitely made to feel like Princes and Princesses! Gold mason jars and gold candle stands were beautifully laid out as centrepieces. Gold paper plates and pink princess serviettes were some of the finishing touches to the kids’ table.

For the adults, we went with gold tiffany chairs – clearly fit for the theme! Mirror runners were beautifully laid across the tables. Gold candelabras, gold candle stands and tall vases with beautiful hydrangeas were the order of the day. Our hydrangeas were imported from Columbia. They were extremely sensitive to handle and the slight change in the environment would affect them. That was challenging! But yet, they beautifully finished our table set up. We opted for glass under plates and an assortment of gold and pink teacups and side plates for this gorgeous Royal Princess High Tea.

As for the food and desserts… Only one word… MOUTHWATERING! The photos speaks for themselves. My client went all out with this one and the menu was quite ravishing. Not only did they look divine but they tasted delicious too – every item on the menu were personalised to fit The Royal Princess High Tea theme. The food menu included prawn tempura, individual bowls of Chow Mein, chicken wraps, and spinach and mushroom pastas to name some. As a lover of desserts, I would have to agree that the dessert menu were even more succulent. Meringues, Petit Fours, Rafaello Mousse, Chocolate shots were just some of the delicious goodies that the guests were spoilt to. Definitely a royal feast!

But what was the highlight? It would definitely have to be the birthday cake. The cake was really gorgeous and that will be noted in the amount of photos of the cake I have included on this blog. Every angle had to be captured to show its true beauty – as gorgeous as this cake was, the taste was divine!
