Anyone who knows me personally will know that I love everything French. The reason being that I have a history with French.. which I will save for another post! I love the language which I can speak, the food.. not so much. However the cakes and pastries.. well, what can I say? That’s a love story all on its own. I have been to Paris and I would love to go back again. Coming from a French / Indian / Creole background (I come from an amiable fusion of cultures!), I adore the French culture – the kissing on both cheeks when greeting, the way one sound when speaking – one never know if they are fighting or being loving! The form of address when speaking to young and old and when talking, they talk with their hands. Anyway, these are the reason that I would jump at styling a Paris High Tea Birthday party any day – I have an attachment!
Paris High Tea Birthday Party decor and set-up details…
This Paris High Tea Birthday Party was far from “cliché”. Elegant, fun and pretty is what Outlandish Events is all about. The colour scheme we chose was soft pink, black and white with a touch of turquoise. One of my favourite things about this party was the cake.. It is absolutely gorgeous! If I had to pick a cake for my birthday, it would be this one. (Hint Hint family!) The scooter and the light post on top of the cake is just too adorable.
Cupcakes, cookies and cake pops were all Paris Themed. The cake pops which my client chose were cute little dresses. The cookies are so beautiful, I have no words left! Macarons could not be left out of this beautiful french affair.
Some girls are just born with glitter in their veins… I don’t know who said this but I completely agree! We had this saying framed and placed on the dessert table and was well-suited for the special little girl who turned 8 “à la” French style. Delicious canapés were served to the adults and were well-devoured. Our caterer, once again, outdid herself with the creative display of her mouth-watering foods.
I loved every minute of styling this Paris High Tea Birthday Party. All stationery were designed by Outlandish Events.
